How can I use this service?
The service enables to resolve any Telephone Number to its geographical location.
Some Use Cases:
- Missed Call Finder. You got a call from someone and need to know the location/operator for the same.
- Need to know location/operator of your Google Contacts.
- Just for fun.
What is the International format of a phone number?
International format of a phone number is the format that you use to call some one who live in another country or the format that some one from out side your country use to call your number.
Basically a phone number is composed of 4-5 portions. For example :
0044(0)20 8326 7775
00 - IDD Prefix
44 - Country Code
(0) - NDD Prefix (National Direct Dialing Prefix) - Used to call from one city to another city within a Country.
20 8326 7775 - Area Code + Subscriber Number
In the international format, the NDD prefix which is used within the country to call from one area to another area will NOT be used. Insted, we use the portions shown below.
IDD Prefix + Country Code + (Area Code + Subscriber Number)
* The NDD prefix and the IDD Prefix varies from country to country.
